A few months back the guys from Grind Magazine out of Japan came through and were in need of some people to model some gear. Elliott and I were around the shop when they came in, so we both said "fuck it!" let's have some fun with it and make a lil extra dough. The outfits are pretty craze, and the photos are pretty hilarious. Thought y'all might get a laugh outta this, cause I sure as hell did.
If you haven't been to the DLX website recently you should atleast click on over every Friday and check out the Pfanner Pfriday's on the Antihero site.
Cliche Skateboards is at it again with another super sick video of JB Gillet. I think this is the 3 video in what seems to be a series of videos spotlighting all of their team riders. If you haven't seen the first two, check them out here and here.
I would hope that you all are familiar with the first Quasimoto album "The Unseen". It is very dope, but extremely obscure album created by Madlib on a week long mushroom binge. The album came out in 2000, and was rereleased as a Deluxe Edition with a bonus album of all instrumental tracks. Don't get me wrong, the lyrics on the original album are incredible, but the instrumental album really lets you focus on all the amazing samples that were put into the album. I'm assuming that Quasimoto is a huge fan of the French animated science fiction film "La Planète Sauvage" (or "Fantastic Planet" in English) because he used a lot of samples from the film in his songs, images from the movies in his videos and artwork on his album.
I did some digging around for the soundtrack to "La Planète Sauvage" by Alain Goraguer and have come to like it almost as much as The Unseen. Just like the movie, the soundtrack is super obscure, and pretty random...duh. Anyways, here is "The Unseen Instrumental" album, and the "Fantastic Planet" soundtrack for your listening pleasure.
